W1 - Interactieve installaties

Ik ben opzoek gegaan naar bestaande installaties. Hiervan waren dit mijn favoriete installaties:


Liquid Bricks
Benjamin Boré who created this perfectly executed liquid brick installation as part of a collaboration at Raum à La Box in France. Meant to “question the harshness of the city” the idea is really quite simple, to embed a water-filled pouch beneath the city streets, and the effect is pretty charming, especially for the kids clamoring all over the thing.


Wat ik hier interessant aan vind is dat tegels voor iedereen herkenbaar zijn maar de tegels hebben een heel ander gedrag dan je gewend bent en hierdoor word je dus verrast.


Kinetic Drawing Sculpture
The installation is made form an enormous helium-inflated sphere trapped inside a small room that’s spiked with dozens of protruding charcoal pieces which scrape the edges of the gallery wall as participants push, toss, and otherwise manipulate it.

 




Deze installatie vind ik interessant omdat je de bal zelf in de ruimte kan verplaatsen en hij ook een afdruk achter laat op de plaatsen waar hij tegenaan komt. Het is een heel groot object maar toch kun je hem zelf verplaatsen.


Zoals je kunt zien zijn deze twee installaties niet met digitale elementen zoals projecties. Op dit moment lijkt mij zelf het leukste om een fysieke installatie te maken, zonder al te veel poes pas, maar die wel een indruk achterlaat door het object zelf.
